Kilt Pins

Queen Victoria was responsible for the introduction of the kilt pin into Highland Dress. She is reputed to have taken pity on a young soldier who was clearly afraid that his modesty was being compromised in the high winds by providing the means to secure the top apron of his kilt. She then decreed that all military kilts should have some means of fastening the top apron. A kilt pin is meant to be decorative, please do not pin it to the underapron of your kilt or skirt, you will risk tearing the tartan.

Our clan crest kilt pins are cast in heavy solid pewter. The designs are in sharp, clear relief and each item is avaiable in over 150 clans!
